Thank you so much for your support and donations! We are waiting to hear if we won the grant match from Givebutter! Stay tuned! We are excited about our prospects and so, so grateful for your support!
We are so blessed to have so many wonderful donations that keep the cost of the cars down. However, one thing that adds up twice a year is the cost of the screws that go in each axle of the toy cars we make.
We need $8,500 this month to pay for the first batch this year. We have the opportunity to get a grant match on every donation made online in March up to $5,000. Please consider donating today to help us pay for the axle screws that will go on each car and work toward getting that match!
We did it! We have exceeded the amount needed for this first batch. But let's not stop. Every penny more goes toward batch 2 coming in just a short 6 months!
Last year we made over 130,000 toy cars. This year we are on track to do the same or more this year. There are over 500 million children in the world who have never received a toy. The grateful smiles on these faces of beautiful children in Peru and Mongolia and Ghana tell a million stories of why these toys mean so much.
Thank you for being part of this amazing undertaking to get a toy in the hand of every child in the world. A means hope, joy, development and a better life.
Thank you for this amazing gift.
A few years ago Children's Hope Mongolia came to us and asked for toy cars for their orphanages and children. They are a medical foundation that is reaching out to organizations to get medical help for the children. But he said, the toys are part of that! The nurses can use the toys to help calm the children so they can do their job. And even more importantly, these toys bring hope into their bleak lives. These little toys bring them a hope and a joy that makes all the difference when they're trying to get healthier. The toy makers in the USA experience better health because of the toys as well!
This sweet woman stated that she loved this little toy car and could see the way that each one was made carefully, uniquely and with love, just the way that God created her carefully, uniquely and with love! Is that not the best compliment for our toy makers!
Last year a family came to us for cars for children in an orphanage in Kenya, Africa. Thes children had some shared toys in a toy room, but they wanted to give a car to each child to keep for themselves. They then went into the village to give more toys to the kids there. A woman came with her three small boys, and each were given a toy car. As they turned to leave the mother walked back and asked if she too could have a toy. She was shy but stated that she had never had her own toy. I can just see the four of them getting down on the floor and playing cars together, making sweet memories the same way I did with my own children.
Thank you for your donations! We reached our goal and are waiting to hear if we won the grant match! Stay Tuned!
