Volunteers

Do something for somebody else. Regular volunteers report that they feel less isolated and anxious. Many have decreased their medication need after a few months of being part of our organization. 

If you are looking for a way to serve every day or even once a week and want to be surrounded by some of the best friends a person could ask for, come join the core group that works in the shop. To use the machinery you have to have steady hands, be an adult or have parental permission, and go through training. But we have things for those with unsteady hands too.

Have a group that wants to come for an afternoon or evening? Youth groups, coworkers or just friends are welcome to come by appointment and help us with tracing, painting, wheeling and using the machines.

Looking for something for a really big group, on the weekend, or at your location? We need help hand sanding and oiling the cars too. You'll arrange with us to grab a box or two or three and sand and oil them at your location and then bring them right back to us! Click here for more information and sign up.

Going out of the country or filling a kit for kids in need? We've made these cars for children all over the world and the US who need a toy. Come grab a box from our shop in West Jordan, or place your order here and we'll ship them to you. They're free for anyone, we just ask for help with the shipping if we need to ship them.

Every year we send thousands of  t-shirt dresses, shorts, quilts and several other projects to Zimbabwe with Eyes4Zimbabwe. We have donated fabric you can pick up and take home to sew or use your own. This is great for groups that want to learn to sew, (these are seriously easy!) or for someone who wants to keep busy and serve! You can find all the instructions in the sewing section of the website. Tuesday days are the best day to come get sewing from our volunteers. Other times can be arranged as well.

We do more than cars! We also put together Hygiene, Baby and School kits. Most of these kits go with organizations that take our cars to other countries.
